It’s never too early or too late to think about jobs and careers. The library has lots of materials to help you plan for your first job, your first career or to make a change in your job or career. Come see us and let us show you some options to explore to allow you to live where you want and have a fulfilling job. We also have information about CareerForce and their programs that can help you search out options and prepare for the future. The CareerForce website has a tool called the ‘skills matcher’ that will help you explore options for your next career.

This summer we will offer three programs for elementary students to explore careers and begin discussion on their strengths, aptitudes and interests. The second Tuesday of June, July and August the library will help kids have fun exploring possibilities. Watch for more details in the summer booklet and in the library. We also have a variety of new books that explore career possibilities for things like general contractor, electrician, carpenter as well as more artistic options like blacksmith or woodworker or florist.

Older students and adults can explore options and get help from a variety of online resources available through the library website with your library card. The library has a subscription to LinkedIn Learning which provides online classes to learn business, software, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. Access is free with your library card and PIN at https://www.linkedin.com/learning-login/go/ifpl or via their app with the library id and your PIN. Let us know if you need assistance or have questions. There are some great classes available and certificates of completion are available if you need them.

Another coupld of options include Learning Express Library which can also be found on our online library web page at internationalfallslibrary.us/online-library.
