Friends of the Library
Our group supports the programs and collection of the International Falls Public Library in many ways. We sponsor special events for children, adults, seniors, and families. We raise funds to purchase equipment and materials outside the normal library budget. The Friends also work to enhance and increase awareness of library programs and services.
Please consider our invitation to support the International Falls Public Library by making a donation or volunteering with the Friends of the Library.
Great Libraries Grow With Good Friends!
● provided Summer Reading Participants with up to 8 free books
● provided graduating first graders a "You Can Read!" book with a library card application included
● provided a free book to young children (under Kindergarten age) who are read aloud to for 100 days (repeatable, a book is selected every time they reach 100 days)
● provided new parents in the community with a free children’s book and information on the importance of reading aloud to young children
● provided the community with almost monthly book sales, raising almost $2,000 in 2025 towards library programming
● provided funding for Teen Summer Programming, an escape- type puzzle available in the library for summer 2024 (approx. 15 teens, and 25 younger kids attempted), and a survival program in 2025 based on skills that could be learned from survival stories (attended by 21)
● recognized library staff members
● promoted library programming and services throughout the community
