EBooks Minnesota is an online ebook collection for all Minnesotans. The collection covers a wide variety of subjects for readers of all ages, and features content from our state’s independent publishers, including some of our best literature and nonfiction. (Ebooks Minnesota is a joint project of Minitex and the Minnesota Department of Education, State Library Services. The collection was made possible in part by funding from the Minnesota Department of Education through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.) MN Writes MN Reads is a great resource for writers interested in easy-to-use, free resources for publishing and sharing e-books. It also aids readers in finding books by local authors. Biblioboard Open Access is a collection of scholarly works on film and media.
EBSCO MegaFILE- This is the broadest of the EBSCO databases, combining Masterfile Premier, Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, and Regional Business News.
Electronic Library for Minnesota- ELM (Electronic Library for Minnesota) gives Minnesota residents online access to magazine, journal, newspaper, and encyclopedia articles, eBooks (online books), and other information resources. ELM provides information on a vast array of topics, including consumer information, arts and humanities, current events, health, science, social science, politics, business, and more.
Gale LegalForms- Over 36,000 legal documents and forms, including wills, name change, real estate and more. Gale Legal Forms is comprehensive in the various types of legal documents made available. Our forms are “attorney forms,” officially approved forms actually used at a typical law firm and very different from those documents found in “form books” – generic, do-it-yourself documents that may not have been drafted by an attorney. MasterFILE Premier- Provides full text for nearly 1,950 publications including nearly 500 full text reference books, 84,011 biographies, 83,472 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 192,999 photos, maps and flags.
MN Statewide Catalog- Access a statewide catalog of books. This is particularly helpful if the book you want is an older book that is not in our system.
Novelist- Provides subject heading access, reviews, annotations, and much more for over 135,000 fiction titles. It also includes: Author Read-alikes, What We’re Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists.
We now have access to Tumble Book Library through the Arrowhead Library System. They have a grade K-6 Children’s Ebook Database, a K-6 Math Database, a 7-12 grade Ebook Database, and an Adult Audiobook Database. This is an amazing resource!
