The weather seems to want to be messy. That makes it ideal season for reading. Stop by and visit us or download an ebook or audiobook through Libby or Hoopla. If you always have your phone with you, putting an ebook or audiobook on your phone means you will always have a book with you wherever you go and instead of scrolling and raising your blood pressure and shortening your attention span you can read (or listen) to an uplifting or educational book.

Crafters’ Cafe will meet on Tuesday, February 24th from 11 am – 1 pm. Bring your current project (or be bold and bring a new project to start) and spend two hours working on a project with good conversation and beverages. All are welcome.

Elementary Fun will gather on Wednesday, February 25th at 2:30 pm. Elementary students can spend an hour building and playing with our Nintendo Labo projects and puzzles.

Thrillers are what many of our community love to read. They enjoy the heart-pulsing twists, the psychological tension as you read. If that is what get you going then be sure and read The Wrong Daughter by Dandy Smith. The twists just keep coming after two daughters, ages 10 and 13 get to stay home alone together for the first time, when the parents return they find their older daughter has vanished and the younger daughter gives an account of what happens that may not be the whole truth. Then the older daughter returns and both sisters are keeping more than one secret. What is the price of their secrets and what price will the family pay if they believe the wrong daughter?

All this Could Be Yours by Hank Phillippi Ryan starts with every author’s dream, a successful book and a magnificent book tour until the author discoviers she is being stalked by someone who wants to destroy both her career and her family. Can she figure out who is out to destroy her and all she holds dear before they are all destroyed?

Minnesota author Pete Gallagher’s book Backwashed finds both Dion Drury and Kady L’Orient struggling to confront troubling histories as they seek to solve the cold case of Dion’s murdered father and mother’s disappearance.

Finally, let’s travel to the Kingdom of Tonga where the inhabitants see so few outsiders they no longer have a word for stranger. The Wayfinder by Adam Johnson opens with a young woman Korero digging up graves and looking for treasure. She is one of 85 people on the island and they are all on the verge of starvation. A stranger arrives and promises bounty in a new kingdom across the sea.
