Ted Saxton called the meeting to order: 4:30 p.m.
Review of January meeting minutes. Dalton made a motion to approve the minutes, Barnhart seconded, motion approved.
Financial Report
The current bills were reviewed. Winkel made a motion to pay the bills, Sullivan seconded, motion carried. Peterson signed to pay the bills.
Director’s Report
Staff meeting was held on Monday, June 5, primary focus of meeting was summer reading. May circulation was much better than April and we are currently 3% above year to date totals for 2016. Summer reading programming has started better than the last couple of years and hopefully it will continue. We have begun the process of adding the digital New York Times to our collection. I hope to be able to promote it at the Independence Day booth.
Old Business:
Computers have been ordered and will be in place shortly. Upcoming programs include William Durbin on Tuesday, June 20 at 10:30 am, storytime on Thursdays at 10:30, teen painting with Bob Ross on Wednesday, June 21 at 2:00 pm. Sculpture unveiling is scheduled for Monday, July 3 at 5:00 pm. (request to delay for two weeks due to family emergency has been approved).
We will have a booth in the park during the Independence Day celebrations, hopefully on the south side of 3rd street near the library. Board assistance staffing the booth is needed. A schedule was passed around with three hour shifts on Monday and Tuesday. We will provide information about digital resources, sign people up for cards and have a coloring contest for kids.

Darcy is reading The Orphan’s Tale, Mary Jo is reading a “Spells and Scones” mystery, Lindsi is Reading Martin Eden by Jack London, Diane is reading The Pearl Thief by Elizabeth Wein, John is reading The Adoption of Charlie Keenan, Dick is reading Chief Joseph and the Flight of the Nez Perce by Kent Newburn and Ted is reading The Circle by Dave Eggers.
